| Reverse description | The reverse is laid out within a multi-rule rectangular border with a sawtooth outer frame and gold foliate corner ornaments. A large central diamond frame encloses a letterpress vignette of a hunched, distressed figure — a caricature in the style of Wilhelm Busch — covering its mouth with one hand, set against a pale blue vertical-stripe underprint. The four corners carry circular cartouches with the denomination numerals '25' and the abbreviation 'Pfg' in bold Gothic blackletter, and a curved aphoristic inscription from Busch's writings runs along the lower edge of the diamond. |
