| Obverse description | Multicolour letterpress vignette in the Expressionist Notgeld style, with two uniformed town watchmen in black and red standing symmetrically at left and right, each holding a heart motif. At centre, a yellow diamond-shaped panel set against a stylised house facade bears the bold denomination '25 PF.' with a small floral ornament above; the printer's name 'H. G. Rahtgens Lübeck' appears in small lettering at the base of the central vignette. Below, a banner reads 'CARLOW' flanked by decorative arrow devices, with an issue date of '15.
