Obverse description Grey-toned Notgeld note with a fine guilloche underprint across the central field. A vignette at the top centre shows a stylised view of the Greiz town silhouette with towers and rooflines, surmounted by a heraldic lion shield on a ribbon. The issuer name "Stadt Greiz" appears in large Gothic script flanking the vignette, with the denomination numeral "25" in bold black oval cartouches at left and right. The central text panel bears the voucher inscription "Gutschein über Pfennig" in ornate lettering, with the date "den 5. Sept. 1921", the city council authorisation "Der Rat der Stadt" with the Oberbürgermeister's manuscript signature, and a validity clause at the foot. The printer's imprint "Hofkunstanstalt Löffler & Co. Greiz" appears below the lower border.

Reverse description Polychrome reverse printed in black and red tones, divided into a triptych layout with a dominant central vignette and flanking panels. The central panel presents a detailed view of the Oberes Schloss gate and tower in Greiz, with an arched gateway, clock tower, and surrounding foliage rendered in a fine illustrative style; the caption "Greiz – Oberes Schloss. Tor u. Turm" appears above. The left and right side panels each carry the denomination "25 Pfennig" in bold red Fraktur numerals and script on a stippled ground, with small decorative vignettes of a spindle and bobbin at the top corners referencing the local textile industry. A two-part poetic inscription in Gothic script runs across the lower side panels.
