| Obverse description | The upper portion carries the large Gothic-script legend "Notgeld der Stadt Deggendorf" flanked at upper right by the Bavarian lozenge coat of arms in colour. The central vignette presents a letterpress view of the Deggendorf town hall tower with a clock face, set against a stylised landscape with trees and a bowl of bread rolls in the foreground. Denomination numerals "25" appear in red at both upper corners and the value "25 Pfennige" is set in bold Gothic type along the lower margin, while scroll panels to left and right carry the validity notice and the issuance date "Deggendorf, Septemb. 1920" with the facsimile signatures of the Bürgermeister Reuß and Stadtkämmerer. |
