| Obverse description | Brown and pink Notgeld note with a decorative dashed border enclosing the entire design. The denomination "25 Pfennig" appears in bold in the upper left and right corners, with the central heading reading "Gutschein der Stadt Finsterwalde N./L. über Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig" in Gothic script. A central engraved panoramic vignette presents a townscape of Finsterwalde with church towers and rooftops.
