| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into three horizontal registers printed in black on grey paper. The upper register bears the inscription GUTSCHEIN to the left, a serial number in the centre, and APENRADE to the right. The central field displays the municipal coat of arms of Apenrade — a heraldic shield charged with three herrings in pale — flanked left and right by the denomination 25 Pfg. in large Gothic numerals. The lower register carries the issuing authority legends DER MAGISTRAT and DAS STADTV. KOLL. flanking a circular municipal seal, below which two manuscript facsimile signatures appear. |
