Obverse description Orange and black bicolour Notgeld note with a central orange field flanked by two black vignette panels, each bearing the denomination '25 Pfg' in white numerals within a dark cartouche decorated with Art Nouveau scrollwork. A circular white medallion at centre carries the Nuremberg eagle in relief. The lower portion bears a red serial number and a strip inscription reading '1. Mai' at left, 'Stadtrat Nürnberg:' at centre with a manuscript facsimile signature, and '1920' at right.

Reverse description Pale green and orange note with a central oval guilloche medallion bearing the orange numeral '25' on a white ground, flanked symmetrically by two Nuremberg civic heraldic eagles in black and gold. The denomination 'fünfundzwanzig Pfennig' is inscribed in bold gothic letterpress below the central vignette. Marginal text arranged vertically on both sides states the conditions of redemption, with the printer's imprint 'Gebr. Parcus. München.' at the foot.
