| Obverse description | Green-on-pale-green Notgeld voucher printed on a floral guilloche underprint of interlocking rosette patterns. The issuer's name 'Stadt Friedberg Hessen' is set in Gothic blackletter at the top, above the bold denomination '25 Pfennig' rendered in large Fraktur script with decorative scrollwork. Below, a three-line redemption clause in Gothic typeface is followed by the place and date of issue 'Friedberg, den 1. November 1919', a red serial number at lower left, and a facsimile mayoral signature at lower right. |
