Reverse description A forward-facing portrait bust of Benito Pablo Juárez García, President of Mexico and national hero, is rendered in high relief at the center of the field, depicting him in civilian attire with a jacket and cravat. The denomination VEINTICINCO PESOS arcs along the upper periphery, while the silver fineness LEY 0.720, the Mexico City mint mark Mo, and the date 1972 appear along the lower periphery. The composition of the legend and technical inscriptions frames the effigy in the customary manner of Mexican commemorative silver coinage of this period.
