| Reverse description | Central design features the heraldic portcullis with chains, the traditional arms of the East India Company, surmounted by a Tudor-style crown with fleurs-de-lis and crosses pattée. The portcullis shield displays a grid of nine squares with three downward-pointing arrow tips at the base, rendered in fine relief against a patinated field. The shield is flanked by decorative chain links on either side, creating a circular frame around the central device.
