Additional information

Trial strikes of this denomination were produced as part of Yugoslavia's broader coinage modernization program in the late 1970s, when the National Bank was evaluating aluminium as a cost-effective alternative for lower-denomination circulation coinage. Most never progressed beyond pattern status, and KM#Pn26 is among the issues that remained confined to official testing — meaning surviving examples passed through institutional hands rather than any public circulation channel.
