| Obverse description | The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, is depicted centrally in the field, showing three lions passant on an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra flanked by a horse and a bull in relief. The Devanagari legend 'भारत' curves along the upper left periphery and the Latin legend 'INDIA' along the upper right. The denomination '25' appears prominently in the lower centre field, flanked to the left by the Devanagari inscription 'पैसे' and to the right by the Latin word 'PAISE'. The scalloped inner border frames the design against the plain field. |
