| Obverse description | Central field features the royal cypher of King Olav V composed of four interlocked oval medallions, each bearing the monogram OV, arranged in a cruciform pattern. The central medallion displays a prominent V surmounted by a royal crown at the top of the design. Two smaller crowned shields flank the arrangement on the left and right, while a further ornamental crown device appears at the base. The overall composition is rendered in low relief against a smooth field, presenting an elegant heraldic design characteristic of mid-twentieth century Scandinavian coinage. |
