Obverse description The central field displays the crowned royal cypher of Queen Margrethe II, rendered as an ornate interlaced monogram surmounted by a heraldic crown, positioned to the left of the central hole. To the right of the hole, a finely detailed oak branch with lobed leaves occupies the field. The date appears in the upper portion of the coin above the hole. Mint master and engraver initials appear at the base of the design flanking a heart-shaped mint mark.

Reverse description The denomination numeral '25' is boldly struck in the upper field above the central hole, with the unit 'ØRE' inscribed immediately below the hole. The legend 'DANMARK' curves along the lower arc. Flanking the central hole on both sides are groups of stylized parallel curved lines representing barley ears, a design element inherited from the preceding Frederik IX coinage, lending continuity to the series.
