| Obverse description | Uncut sheet of two identical 25 Pfennig Kriegs-Notgeld notes, each with a central colour vignette of a wooden sailing vessel with a prominent anchor riding stylised waves, the numeral '25' in red at upper left and upper right within a dotted border frame. Validity text appears at left and payment inscription at right, with a manuscript signature of the Stadtmagistrat below. A large diagonal letterpress overprint in dark ink reads 'Gust für 25 Mark / Einlösefrist 30. November 1918 (Verlängerung vorbehalten.) Stadtmagistrat' across both halves, converting the face value from 25 Pfennig to 25 Mark. The printer's imprint 'Dr. Karl Höhn Lindau i.B.' appears at the base of each note. |
