Obverse description Central vignette of an ornate arched architectural portal set within a guilloche underprint, with the Syrian state arms — an eagle with shield — to the right. Arabic inscriptions of the bank name and denomination appear at top and lower left, with the numeral 25 repeated in the upper corners and lower left. The overall note is printed in shades of rose-red on a light ground.

Reverse description Central intaglio vignette of the ancient ruins of Palmyra, with a triumphal arch and colonnade rendered in fine line engraving against a distant mountain landscape. The denomination numerals 25 appear in the upper corners, flanked by classical column ornaments. Bank name and denomination legends are printed in French across the top and bottom of the note.
