Reverse description The Haitian coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a royal palm tree flanked by pairs of crossed cannons on wheeled carriages, with trophies of arms, flags, and an anchor to either side, all above a ribbon scroll bearing the national motto 'L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE'. The upper legend 'LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE' arches around the rim, and the denomination '25 GOURDES' and the date '1974' appear in the lower field. The fineness mark '925' is inscribed in a small oval cartouche to the lower left of the coat of arms. The design is framed by a beaded inner border.
