The entire device is encircled by a wreath of olive or laurel branches tied at the base. The legend ROYAUME du BURUNDI and COURONNEMENT arc across the upper field above the arms, while the date 1 SEPT 1966 appears to either side of the shield. The motto GANZA SABWA is inscribed on a ribbon below the arms, and the denomination 25 F. appears in the lower field beneath the wreath. |
