| Obverse description | Three giant eland antelopes (Taurotragus derbianus) depicted in high relief facing left, their elongated spiralling horns extending dramatically across the upper field. The animals are rendered in a naturalistic style against a lightly detailed savanna background with stylised grasses. The engravers' signatures G.B.L.BAZOR appear to the right of the central design. The circumferential legend reads ETATS DE L'AFRIQUE EQUATORIALE / BANQUE CENTRALE in two arcing lines at the top, with the date and CAMEROUN positioned along the lower rim. |
