Obverse description A detailed frontal view of the Hungarian Parliament Building in Budapest occupies the central field, rendered with fine architectural precision showing its characteristic Neo-Gothic facade, central dome, and symmetrical spires. A stylized representation of the River Danube runs across the lower portion of the design, separating the building from the lower field. The two-line legend MAGYAR NEPKÖZTÁRSASÁG (Hungarian People's Republic) curves around the periphery, with MAGYAR arching across the upper rim and NEPKÖZTÁRSASÁG along the lower rim. The engraver's initials IVÁN are visible in the lower left field near the waterline.
