Aruba's 25 florin is the highest denomination in regular circulation, and this 2019 issue is the most recent update to a series that has changed relatively little since the florin was introduced in 1986, when Aruba achieved its separate Status Aparte within the Kingdom of the Netherlands and broke from the Netherlands Antillean guilder.
Crane Currency has held the contract for Aruban banknotes for years, printing at its facility in the United States. For a note at this denomination level, the watermark-only security specification is notably sparse by current Caribbean standards.
