In the upper left field, a partial circle of twelve stars evokes the European Union emblem. The circular legend around the periphery reads ROYAN VILLE CONTEMPORAINE ET EUROPEENNE, while at the lower center the inscription 5e Salon des Collectionneurs appears, with an engraver's signature mark visible in the field.
