| Obverse description | Draped and helmeted bust of Britannia facing right, wearing an elaborately decorated classical helmet adorned with acanthus scrollwork and a visor, her hair flowing beneath. The legend 'BRITANNIARUM DEI GRATIA' arcs along the left and upper periphery, with the date '1996' completing the inscription at the top right.
