| Obverse description | Draped and helmeted bust of Britannia facing right, wearing an elaborately decorated classical helmet with a visor and feathered plume, her hair flowing beneath. The legend BRITANNIARUM DEI GRATIA is inscribed along the left periphery, with the date 1995 appearing at the upper right. Twelve five-pointed stars are arranged along the right and lower-right rim, evoking the European Community motif. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail on the helmet crest and drapery. |
