| Reverse description | The reverse is dominated by two large intaglio reproductions of the ancient silver stater of Metapontion: at left, the obverse of the coin showing a bearded male head, and at right, the reverse showing a barley ear — both rendered with fine engraver's detail within circular vignettes set against richly coloured guilloche rosette underprints. The denomination numeral '25' occupies a dark central cartouche, and the bank name ΕΘΝΙΚΗ ΤΡΑΠΕΖΑ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ is lettered in the upper panel, with the edition inscription ΕΚΔΟΣΙΣ ΔΩΔΕΚΑΤΗ in the lower border tablet. The American Bank Note Company imprint appears at the foot of the note. |
