Obverse description The full achievement of the Coat of Arms of Jamaica is rendered in high relief at centre, featuring a quartered shield bearing five pineapples on vertical pales, flanked by two Taíno figures as supporters — the dexter figure holding a basket of fruit and the sinister figure holding a spear — surmounted by a crocodile atop a plumed helmet and mantling. A scroll below the shield bears the national motto in the legend OUT OF MANY, ONE PEOPLE. The country name JAMAICA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower periphery. The CHI mint mark appears in the lower field beneath the coat of arms.
