| Reverse description | A massive, highly sculptural rendition of the solar disc of Viracocha, the principal Andean creator deity, fills the entire reverse field in deeply struck high relief. The central motif presents the stylized frontal face of Viracocha with large circular eyes, a prominent geometric nose, and a serrated mouth with bared teeth, surrounded by an elaborate radiating composition of symbolic motifs including serpents, condors, geometric patterns, and zoomorphic figures drawn from pre-Columbian Andean iconography. The design closely replicates the famous gold sun disc artefact associated with the Inca and Tiwanaku civilizations. The date 2023 is incused in small numerals at the lower right of the field. |
