| Obverse description | The Jamaican coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a crowned shield supported by a helmeted Taino woman to the left and a Taino man to the right, with the national motto ribbon below reading OUT OF MANY, ONE PEOPLE. The five interlocked Olympic rings are displayed prominently at the bottom of the field. The legend JAMAICA arcs along the upper periphery, while TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS curves along the lower periphery, flanked by the date 1980 in the lower central field.
