Vladimir Tarasenko, born in Yaroslavl in 1991, became one of the NHL's most prolific goal-scorers of the 2010s with the St. Louis Blues — this issue predates his 2019 Stanley Cup championship by two years, minted when he was arguably at the peak of his offensive output. Cook Islands has operated an extensive licensed sports coin program for decades, issuing collector pieces under its name while the coins are produced and distributed entirely outside the territory.
