| Reverse description | The reverse features an ultra-high relief depiction of the Thunderbird, a supernatural creature of great significance in Pacific Northwest Coast Indigenous traditions, designed by Kwakwaka'wakw artist Andy Everson. The design draws upon traditional Kwakwaka'wakw formline art, with the Thunderbird rendered in deeply sculpted relief that emulates the appearance of ancestral carvings, its powerful wings dramatically spread to fill the coin's field. Selective colour application highlights key features of the creature, including its eyes and outstretched talons, as well as stylised lightning bolts radiating from the figure, enhancing the visual dynamism and narrative intensity of the composition.
