Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, with drop earring and necklace visible, modelled by Raphael David Maklouf. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field, with the engraver's initials RDM incuse below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left rim and ROYAL VISIT 1985 along the right and lower right, all within a fine beaded border.

Reverse description The arms of Belize displayed centrally, comprising a quartered shield bearing tools of the mahogany industry and a sailing ship, supported by two woodcutters each holding an axe over their shoulder, with a mahogany tree rising behind the shield. The entire achievement is encircled by an open wreath of laurel branches. The motto scroll SUB UMBRA FLOREO appears on a ribbon below the shield. The country name BELIZE arcs along the upper field and the denomination 25 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower field, all within a beaded border.
