Reverse description The reverse depicts three stylised human silhouettes emerging through the infamous 'Arbeit Macht Frei' gate of the Auschwitz concentration camp, rendered in mirror-image (reversed lettering) on the gate structure above them to convey the distorted reality of the camp. The bodies of the figures are composed of engraved personal names of victims, including Zdenek, Ladislav, Josef, Georg, Frantisek, and others, symbolising the individuality of those who perished. Barbed-wire fence panels flank the central scene on both sides. The date '27. LEDNA 1945' (27 January 1945, the date of liberation) arcs along the upper rim, while 'OSVOBOZENÍ OSVĚTIMI' (Liberation of Auschwitz) is inscribed along the lower and side rim.
