Obverse lettering ELIZABETH II JAMAICA 1987
Reverse description The full Coat of Arms of Jamaica occupies the central field, depicting a shield quartered by a cross charged with five pineapples, surmounted by a Jamaican crocodile crest atop a helm and mantling. Two Taíno figures serve as supporters — a female figure to the left bearing a basket of fruit, and a male figure to the right holding a bow — flanking the shield. A scroll beneath bears the national motto OUT OF MANY, ONE PEOPLE. The commemorative legend 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE 6TH AUGUST 1987 arcs around the upper periphery, and the denomination 25 DOLLARS appears in the lower field, all against a deeply mirrored proof background.
