| Reverse description | A detailed engraving of HMS Dreadnought, the Royal Navy's revolutionary 1906 battleship, depicted underway at sea with stylised waves in the foreground and clouds rendered above the horizon line. The vessel's distinctive superstructure, gun turrets, and rigging are faithfully rendered in high relief against a frosted background. The legend HMS DREADNOUGHT is inscribed in a curved arc along the upper periphery, while the denomination 25 DOLLARS appears in the lower exergue. The coin's inner border features a dashed decorative inner circle framing the design. |

| Additional information |
HMS Dreadnought, launched in 1906, made every existing battleship in the world — including Britain's own fleet — obsolete within months of her commissioning. Her all-big-gun armament and steam turbine propulsion triggered a naval arms race between Britain and Germany that ran directly into the outbreak of war in 1914. The Solomon Islands issued this piece in the centenary year of that launch.
