Reverse description The reverse features a vibrant, fully colourized depiction of a dragon boat prow rendered as a fearsome dragon head, shown in dynamic three-quarter view emerging from stylized cresting waves. The dragon is executed in vivid polychrome enamel colours — predominantly orange, red, yellow, and green — with an open jaw displaying sharp teeth and a spherical element within, eyes wide and expressive, and flowing mane-like whiskers billowing dramatically across the field. Beneath the central design, the lower portion of the field is occupied by finely engraved uncoloured silver waves in a classical East Asian artistic tradition, with the engraver's initials SN visible at lower centre. The legend CANADA and 25 DOLLARS arcs across the upper field in raised Latin lettering, flanking the design, with the date 2017 inscribed to the lower right.
