The B Series with revised colouring was a relatively minor update to the Cayman Islands' standing note design rather than a full reissue — the Currency Board made incremental adjustments to combat counterfeiting without the expense of commissioning an entirely new series. De La Rue's involvement was continuous across Cayman issues from independence onward, and the London production run for this denomination was never large given the Islands' population and the limited domestic demand for a note of this value in day-to-day commerce.
Pick 19 is notably scarcer in circulated grades than its face value might suggest — high-denomination notes in small offshore jurisdictions tend to be held rather than spent.
