Obverse description The obverse features the fourth definitive effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, sculpted by Susan Taylor, depicting the Queen in right-facing profile at approximately 77 years of age. The bust is uncrowned and shows the Queen adorned with a necklace and drop earrings. The legend ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA arcs along the upper periphery of the field. The portrait is rendered in fine relief against a polished field, consistent with the Proof-finish standard of the series.

Additional information

The Royal Canadian Mint's 2014 bullion and collector programs leaned heavily into niobium and selective plating technology during this period, but this issue belongs to a broader push to capture northern wilderness subjects for the high-premium collector market. Mintage was tightly controlled, as with most RCM fine silver pieces of this era, keeping secondary market premiums firm even years after release.
