Obverse description Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and collar, after the portrait by Dominic Tatcher. The legend CHARLES III and AUSTRALIA arcs around the upper field, flanked by two raised dots at the mid-field. The lower portion of the legend reads 1/4oz 9999 Au 25 DOLLARS, curving around the lower field. The engraver's initials DT appear incuse at the truncation of the bust.

Reverse description Central design depicting the Spanish royal crown above two hemispheres representing the Old World and the New World, evoking the classical Pillar Dollar (Pieces of Eight) coinage of the Spanish Empire. The hemispheres are flanked by the two Pillars of Hercules, each draped with spiralling banners bearing the motto PLUS VLTRA. The mint mark MO and date 2025 appear in the field, together with the legend VTRAQUE VNUM and PLVS VLTR around the design.
