Obverse description At centre, a raised circular inner ring encloses the denomination expressed in Arabic-Indic numerals (٢٥) above the word دينارا in the field. Surrounding the inner circle, a peripheral legend in Arabic script reads البنك المركزي العراقي (Central Bank of Iraq) along the upper arc and خمسة وعشرون دينارا (Twenty-five Dinars) along the lower arc. The entire design is bounded by a beaded border running along the coin's rim.

(Translation: Iraq Central Bank 25 Dinars Twenty-five Dinars)
Reverse description At centre, a raised outline map of Iraq occupies the field, with the Tigris and Euphrates rivers delineated within the map's interior. Flanking the lower portion of the map on either side are dual dates: the Hijri year ١٤٢٥هـ to the right and the Gregorian year ٢٠٠٤م to the left, both rendered in Arabic-Indic numerals. The design is enclosed by a continuous beaded border along the rim.
