| Reverse description | Central device depicts the Lion and Sun emblem of Qajar Iran: a rayed solar disc with a human face at its centre, radiating long straight rays in all directions, surmounted by a Qajar crown above. The emblem is encircled by an ornate wreath of tulip branches on the left and oak branches on the right, tied with a ribbon bow at the base. The AH date ۱۲۹۵ (1878) appears in Persian numerals at the bottom of the field, flanked by the engraver's initials F and P. The entire design is contained within a beaded outer border. |
