| Obverse description | Crowned and robed effigy of King George V facing left, depicted in high relief with fine detail showing his military uniform adorned with decorations and a prominent royal crown. The king is portrayed with a short beard, consistent with MacKennal's standard imperial portrait used across British Commonwealth coinage of the era.
