One of six commemorative quarters released monthly through 1999 to mark Canada's millennium celebrations, the October issue honored the diversity of Canadian communities. The Royal Canadian Mint produced the full series in unprecedented volumes — combined mintage across all six designs reached into the hundreds of millions — meaning these coins saturated circulation almost immediately and remain essentially impossible to find worn.
