Obverse description The obverse bears the fourth-effigy portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, facing right, wearing a diamond diadem and pearl earrings with a pearl necklace partially visible at the truncation. The effigy, engraved by Ago Aarand after Dora de Pédery-Hunt's design, is rendered in high relief with fine detail characteristic of the proof strike. The legend ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA arcs around the upper field, while the denomination 25 CENTS is inscribed in the lower field beneath the portrait. A fine beaded border encircles the entire design.
