Obverse description The complete national coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago occupies the central field, featuring a shield quartered with two hummingbirds and a ship, supported on the dexter by a scarlet ibis and on the sinister by a cocrico bird, both standing on a grassy mount. A coconut palm tree with fruit forms the crest above the shield. The national motto appears on a scroll in the lower field, reading TOGETHER WE ASPIRE TOGETHER WE ACHIEVE.
