Part of Cook Islands' long-running licensed novelty program, which has produced hundreds of themed issues through the New Zealand-administered territory's nominal monetary authority. The "I'm Late" title references Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, published 1865. Cook Islands has no functioning coin circulation economy of its own; these pieces are produced entirely for the collector market under agreements with private minting and marketing firms.
