| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, depicting the Queen in mature portrait with waved hair and wearing a pearl necklace and draped garment. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left field and D•G•REGINA along the right field. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a smooth, milled background. This fourth definitive effigy was adopted by the Royal Canadian Mint from 2003 onward for Canadian circulation and collector coinage. |
