Additional information

This is one of twelve coins in the 1999 Millennium Series, each representing a month of the year and produced in sterling silver as a collector issue running parallel to the circulating nickel versions. The series was a deliberate commemorative program tied to Canada's millennium celebrations, with each month assigned a distinct reverse design selected through a national competition open to Canadian artists and students. December's coin completed the set.

KM#353a distinguishes the sterling composition from the base-metal circulation strikes catalogued separately under KM#353.
