Additional information

Part of the Royal Canadian Mint's 2009 Vancouver Olympics circulation series, these colored quarters were struck for general release but hoarded so aggressively on issue that genuine circulation wear is almost never encountered. The color application — a lithographic process applied after striking — has proven durable in most surviving examples, though edge chips to the colored layer are known and affect collectibility.
