| Obverse description | The obverse bears the fourth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Susanna Blunt, facing right in a mature draped bust portrait, wearing a pearl necklace and pearl drop earrings. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left rim, while D • G • REGINA arcs along the upper right rim, all in raised Latin lettering. A fine inner beaded border encircles the entire obverse field. The mint mark P appears at the lower rim below the truncation of the bust. The portrait is rendered in a naturalistic, refined style characteristic of Canadian coinage from this period. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features a colorized depiction of Bonhomme Carnaval, the iconic snowman mascot of the Quebec Winter Carnival, rendered in high relief at the centre of the field with his arms raised in a welcoming gesture. Bonhomme wears his signature red tuque and red ceinture fléchée (sash), applied in vivid red coloring, contrasting with his white snow-textured body. Two engraved snowflakes appear to the upper right of the figure.
