| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, as sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley. The legend ELIZABETH II appears along the left rim and COOK ISLANDS along the right rim, both in raised Latin characters. The date 2015 is inscribed along the lower exergue, and the engraver's initials IRB appear in small relief below the truncation of the bust.
